Welcome To The Wittenberg Business Park
The Wittenberg Business Park was established in 1998 to assist local and area business and industry to grow and prosper, and to attract new business to the area. The business park is about 69 acres in size and has been divided into two sections. The south section has full infrastructure and has approximately 11 acres available and the north section has approximately 48 acres which will be developed as needed.

The Wittenberg Business Park is located in Western Shawano County, one half mile east of The Village of Wittenberg and one and one half miles east of the Marathon County Line. It has ready access to Highway 29 East and West and Highway 45 North and South which connects it with the Fox River Valley and the Wisconsin River Valley. It is a 30 minute drive to the Wausau area, a 60 minute drive to the Green Bay area (65 miles) and a 60 minute drive to the Appleton area (65 miles). The majority of the residents who work out of the Wittenberg are commute to the Wausau area for employment.

Population estimates show that 17,000 residents live within a 15 mile radius of Wittenberg and in 1991 the North Central Technical College established a campus in Wittenberg. In addition to the technical college, the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District operates a high school, middle school and elementary school in the Village of Wittenberg. Attached to the high school is the $4 million Darwin E. Smith Aquatic Center which has an Olympic sized swimming pool, heated exercise and wading pool, hot tub and an extensive weight training room, all of which are open to the public.

With a population of nearly 1300 and growing, Wittenberg has many local businesses that are family owned and operated. Business Parks

Wittenberg is ideally located at the intersection of Hwy 45 and Wisconsin Sate Hwy 29 which has an express status. We are in the heart of Central Wisconsin within minutes of the Wisconsin Valley and the Fox Valley with easy on and off access to the highways. Due to our location in the state and highway access, it is only natural for us to promote business growth.

The Wittenberg Area Development Corporation was founded. The main focus was to bring businesses to the Wittenberg area and help the community grow. There are two business parks located in Wittenberg. They are located near each other with one being on the south side of Wisconsin State Hwy 29 and the other on the north side.

The Village of Wittenberg Business Park is ready for occupancy. The Business Park is 72 acres with the front part of the Business Park, approximately 18 acres, ready for immediate development. All utilities are in place such as, fiber optics, cable, water, and sewer, gas and electric. Curb and gutter has been installed and some roads have been paved.

Great location for businesses that need to be centrally located within Wisconsin. Only 1hr. from Green bay, 2 1/2hrs. from Milwaukee, 2 1/2hrs. from Madison and 3 hrs. from Eau Claire. Easy access to major highways. HWY 29/45 within 1/4 mile from the Business Park entrance.

Land prices are very reasonable, with credits available to offset the price! We have favorable tax rates. Our local Village and School District have modest tax rates. This means more money in your pocket and/or more funds available for your building project. Although lots are plotted on the business park map they are just ideas that could be used. None of the lots have been surveyed; therefore a developer can determine what will work best for their proposed development.
